UK-born Rosemary began her love affair with copywriting, editing and proofreading when working at the BBC in London. Yet it was a few years later, when she was working in the marketing department of a large European business, that Rosemary discovered her eye for detail that marks out her abilities as a marketing copywriter, editor and proofreader.
Rosemary’s copywriting career flourished, and led her around Europe, back to the UK, and eventually, to Australia. Here, she became a tender writer for a global consulting business and later for a top tier law firm before deciding to launch her own business in 2000.
Today, Rosemary works with services and professional businesses of all sizes – consulting on and writing winning award entries, tenders and proposals, as well as copywriting, editing and proofreading their B2B articles, brochures, pitches, marketing materials and annual reports.
She is also an occasional contributor to Marketing magazine and to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Glynis SkepperCopywriter, copy editor & proofreader
Glynis has always been a voracious reader, wielding her red pen at typos for as long as she can remember (and much to the annoyance of her school librarian).
Selling life insurance by cold calling wasn’t quite what she had in mind as the start of a stellar career, but it certainly was character building. From this unlikely beginning, Glynis spent many years working for AMP; her last role as presenter of Financial Services for Women seminars.
A move to the UK in 1997 gave Glynis the chance to establish her own training consultancy. After a number of years running her own business, she headed home to Australia. For the next eight years Glynis served as the National Customer Service Manager for a privately owned promotional apparel company in Brisbane, where she still lives.
Throughout this time, Glynis kept hold of her red pen, applying her eye for detail to her employers’ corporate communications. Still clutching that trusty instrument, Glynis joined Proof Communications in 2013 to support our B2B proofreading, copy writing and editing services for businesses across a wide range of industries.
Glynis also works with clients writing their winning tenders and proposals, case studies, articles and website copy. And she loves every minute of it.
Sue is an enthusiastic, motivated and articulate B2B writer with a strategic approach to business development opportunities.
She has 15 years’ experience in business development and communications. This includes five years in business development for Westpac and eight years as the public relations manager of professional services organisations operating at state, national and international level.
With qualifications in law, communications and governance, Sue brings you her ability to quickly synthesise the complexity of information, balancing efficient and courteous collaboration with multiple stakeholders and lateral thinking around key concepts.
Along with her strong writing skills that present information clearly and powerfully and her focus and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, Sue is an asset to the team.
Caroline is a writer, editor and communications professional. She started out in financial services where she spent almost a decade working in writing and editing roles. Here she learned to translate complex and technical material into reader-friendly and engaging (yet still precise) copy.
As a Communications Manager, Caroline wrote and edited a vast range of material. This included marketing and product collateral, web copy, employee communications, publications, documents, reports and letters. Caroline also supported executive team members with their written copy.
After leaving the corporate world, Caroline branched out on her own as a freelance business writer. She worked with clients that ranged from start-ups through to corporates and not for profits, and loved the variety of working for different industries. But while the subjects varied for her clients, they all had a common goal: to win business through clear, content-rich copy.
At Proof Communications, Caroline is part with a small team of dedicated professionals who work together to achieve the best results for their clients. It’s everything she enjoys, in a friendly team environment.
Caroline has a Master of Arts in Writing and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism.
